Kid Icarus: Uprising for Nintendo 3DS

Kid Icarus Uprising

Kid Icarus: Uprising was one of the main highlights of games in the E3 conference from Nintendo. If you saw the trailer and the presentation, I’m pretty sure you got excited as well. It looks like an improved version of Kingdom Hearts.

If it wasn’t familiar with you, the game Kid Icarus was originally released during the year 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System which gained massive fan base. So naturally, a lot of old school gamers were impressed and felt a bit of nostalgia hearing the new game being released.

Now for new comers, the game actually looks kind of like Kingdom Hearts who stars Sora as the main character. It’s such an irony too because the development team who created it is named Project Sora.

It’s a very beautiful game. The game is created by well known game developer Masahiro Sakurai who is known for creating Super Smash Brothers and Kirby so you can expect a lot from this game. It will definitely be a game changer. Now to put it all into perspective, not only is the game great but you get to experience it in 3D without wearing any glasses because of the Nintendo 3DS. Talk about luck.

Kid Icarus Gameplay Mechanics

Kid Icarus is a 3-D action / adventure game which boasts a lot of aerial and ground-based fighting and shooting. Expect a lot of fast paced action and humour into the game.

The game stars Pit, the protagonist, which teams up with Palutena, the goddess of light, who gives him the blessings of flight and bestows upon him the power of flying. With this gift of power, Pit flies through the skies fighting enemies and shooting down swarms of evil doers while finally battling on the ground with Medusa’s underworld army.
