Nintendogs 3D is the real-time pet simulator of Nintendo for the DS Lite or 3DS portable system. It’s an enhanced version of the multi awarded Nintendo game Nintendogs.
Utilizing the touchscreen features, built-in microphone and camera of the 3DS, the player can interact with his or her pet just like in real life. There can be all sorts of ways you can interact with your pet such as playing, training, petting, walking, brushing and even washing your pet. Using the voice commands, you can train your pet to understand commands such as sit or roll over.
To put things into perspective, it’s almost like owning a real pet in real life. And now with the Nintendogs 3D, they have further enhanced the already revolutionary game and added 3D visuals to make the pet really come to life.
Nintendogs Realism
With the old features of the Nintendogs where you can call your pet by name, talk to them, and make them do tricks by talking to your DS system, you can now interact with them using facial expressions. The 3DS uses a built in camera to detect your facial expression and makes the experience more realistic.
But it’s only a game? Well, the internal clock of the DS system allows your pet to get hungrier or dirtier as time goes by so it’s very realistic.
With the introduction of the Nintendogs + Cats 3D, they have introduced new breeds of dogs and even cats. The initial preview given by Nintendo showed pets such as a beagle, golden retriever and a Yorkie puppy that you could adopt and play with.

no im sorry. because i asked the shop keeper and he said no you can not play 3ds games on other systems. its only the original nintendogs that can play on ds/dsi systems
They’re talking about RELEASING it for the other DS types, (minus the camera unless on a dsi, I would guess)

Although, I highly doubt they would make it for the earlier DS types.

They have. It’s called Nintendogs. Actually, the cats do nothing, ignore you, and get you no money. It’s better to have the regular version.

I have Toy Poodle and Friends and the graphics are AMAZING. Nothing like the original Nintendogs. No, you cannot play this game on the DS Lite because all 3DS games habe a tab at the side that can only be inserted into the 3DS. I recommend it to anyone who loves dogs and cats.
