The game itself is a very innovative hybrid tactical role playing game which puts you in the main downtown area of Tokyo where demons have taken over. You and your friends only have 7 days (now 8 days for the new remake) to survive and escape. You and your friends have the power to summon devils and demons to fight off other demons.

The gameplay works a lot like Final Fantasy tactics where there the floor will have horizontal squares for you to be able to move and control your characters. Once you do move and fight an enemy, the screen changes to a first person RPG view (kind of like in Dragon Quest VIII) and you will have more options on how to fight your enemy.

The original game was massive and was one of the best, most complex and definitely most interesting core experiences on the DS. So if you’re a fan of RPG, then this game is definitely for you. You won’t get disappointed.
